PPGI is a color-coated steel sheet with GI (Galvanized Iron) as the base material, while PPGL is a color-coated steel sheet with GL (Galvalume) as the base material. The organic coatings applied on the surface (such as polyester, silicon-modified polyester, and fluorocarbon) provide excellent weather resistance, enabling the material to withstand UV rays, acid rain, and other environmental factors, ensuring long-term color and gloss retention.
PPGI uses galvanized steel as the base material, with the zinc layer offering good anti-corrosion protection, making it suitable for general corrosive environments. PPGL, on the other hand, uses aluminum-zinc-coated steel as the base material, and the aluminum-zinc alloy layer (55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, 1.6% silicon) provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly excelling in harsh environments.
Both PPGI and PPGL exhibit excellent processing performance, making them suitable for manufacturing complex shapes through stamping, bending, and shearing. The strong adhesion of the coatings prevents peeling during processing. Additionally, the pre-painting process reduces the need for on-site painting, lowering the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and meeting environmental requirements.
