FERMENTER FERMENTATION TANK
When the whirlpool is finished, the wort is cooled by the heat exchanger and then enters a new tank called a fermenter. Fermenting is the process during which the yeast transforms the wort into beer, which usually lasts two to three weeks.
The fermenter has a cylindrical body and a conical bottom to accelerate the collection of the yeast. Cooling is achieved by 35% Glycol Water at -5ºC. Typically, there are 2 or 3 section Glycol jackets on the cylinder of the fermentation tank and 1 section on the bottom to control the temperature. It is insulated by low thermal conductivity PU. Our fermenter design includes a CIP spray ball, rotating racking arm, and manhole.
