FAQ
What are the primary characteristics of 1.2311 steel?
DIN 1.2311 is an alloy tool steel known for its excellent polishability and high wear resistance. It is pre-hardened and specifically designed for plastic injection moulds.
What are the equivalent international grades?
Common equivalents include AISI P20 (USA) and GB 5CrMnMo (China). It is also known as 40CrMnMo7 under DIN standards.
What inspection standards do you follow for quality?
We conduct rigorous testing including Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Ray detection (RT), and Eddy current flaw detection (ET) to ensure structural integrity.
What is the typical delivery time?
Stock items are available for immediate dispatch. For customized production or non-stock materials, lead times range from 5 to 30 days depending on the specifications.
What processing services can be provided?
We offer oxygen cutting, plasma cutting, and laser cutting. Additional testing like EN10160 ultrasonic testing and PWHT detection is available upon request.
Are samples available for testing?
Yes, samples can be provided for quality approval before placing a formal order. Free samples are available for certain stock items.
